Jane Uffelman, previously Jane Warren was the daughter of Colonel Stafford Warren, medical director of the Manhattan Project. She worked for the Tennessee Eastman Corporation at the Y-12 Plant as a librarian. While in Oak Ridge, she helped to establish the Oak Ridge Community Art Center, as documented in the book “These Are Our Voices” (ed. James Overholt, Children’s Museum of Oak Ridge, 1987). In 1951, she moved to Los Angeles to join Rand Corporation. This is likely the time her marriage to F.C. [Fred] Uffelman ended. She later married Clarence Larson in 1957.
