Herbert Depke was born November 18, 1907 in Danville, Illinois. He received a B.S. from the University of Illinois in 1930, then began working for his family’s business.
Attended St. Joseph's University.
Dr. Richard Baker worked at the Ames Laboratory before transferring to Los Alamos. Considered the father of plutonium chemistry, Baker had a long career at the Los Alamos National Laboratory.
