Ellsworth T. Carrington served as a 2nd lieutenant in the 393rd Bombardment Squadron. He was the co-pilot on the Jabit III during the Hiroshima mission.

​Samuel Theodore Cohen was born on January 25, 1921. He was an American physicist and is known as the father of the neutron bomb.
