Herbert York (1921-2009) was a part-Mohawk American physicist. After graduating with a master’s in physics from the University of Rochester in 1942, York went directly to work at the Berkeley Radiation Laboratory connected with the Manhattan Project.
Elsie (Blumer) McMillan lived at Los Alamos during the Manhattan Project. Her husband, Edwin McMillan, was a physicist who worked on implosion at Los Alamos.
R. W. McKee worked for the Tennessee Eastman Corporation at the Y-12 Plant.
Richard Highsmith worked for the Roane-Anderson Company.
