Dee McCullough began working as an instrument technician at Hanford in early 1944. As a former sound engineer, McCullough was tasked with installing nuclear safety monitors on the reactors at Hanford.
Donald “Don” Hornig (1920-2013) was an American chemist. Hornig was recruited to join the laboratory at Los Alamos in 1944, just one year after receiving his doctorate in physcial chemistry from Harvard University.
Jack Pierard was a communications clerk in the Hanford Engineering Works from January 1944 through the end of the war.
