June H. Roberts was a research assistant in the Instruments Division at the Metallurgical Laboratory in Chicago during the Manhattan Project.

In 1944 she received a B.S. from the University of Chicago and married Harry V. Roberts, an American statistician who specialized in Bayesian statistics.

Roberts died on February 10, 2005 in Palo Alto, CA at the age of 81.
