John Attanas was born in 1920 and grew up on farm near Kingston, New York. After graduating from Georgia Tech in 1942 with a degree in chemical engineering, he worked in a chemistry lab at the Remington Arms Company.
Fredrika Lewis was a laboratory technician in the Health Division of the University of Chicago’s Metallurgical Laboratory (“Met Lab”) during the Manhattan Project.
Stafford Leak “Staff” Warren was a Colonel in the Army Medical Corps and the Chief Medical Officer of the Manhattan Engineer District (MED).
