James S. Cole is an American engineer. He served as an airplane engineer during World War II, and began working at the K-25 plant at Oak Ridge, TN in 1945, shortly after the end of the war.
C. Cannon was a research associate at the University of Chicago’s Metallurgical Laboratory (“Met Lab”) during the Manhattan Project.
Robert H. Byrd served as a staff sergeant in the 393rd Bombardment Squadron. He was the radio operator regularly assigned to the B-29 Some Punkins.
