Raymond Schwartz grew up in West Allis, WI. After graduating from high school, he worked as an apprentice machinist for Allis Chalmers Corporation, until enlisting in the Army in February 1943.
Robert P. Matthews worked as a member of Project Alberta, the team that transported and assembled the Fat Man and Little Boy atomic bombs.
Frank Fessenden worked for the Tennessee Eastman Corporation at the Y-12 Plant.
Kenneth Stewart Cole was a Principal Biophysicist at the University of Chicago’s Metallurgical Laboratory (“Met Lab”) during the Manhattan Project.
