Karl Walther was a glassblower for Columbia University and Brookhaven National Laboratory. During the Manhattan Project, Walther worked as a senior glassblower at the Nash Garage Building at Columbia, where scientists developed the gaseous diffusion process.
Sergeant James T. Harris was a member of the Special Engineer Detachment stationed at the University of Chicago’s Metallurgical Laboratory (“Met Lab”) during the Manhattan Project.
George F. Scheer served in the 320th Troop Carrier Squadron.
B. F. Kwiatokowski served in the 390th Air Service Group.
