Samuel Podgor was born to Russian-migrants in New York City. He served in the Special Engineer Detachment at Los Alamos, NM where he worked in the Theoretical Division under Klaus Fuchs.
Gabriel worked at the 300 Area at Hanford during the Manhattan Project.
