Dr. Muriel Cuykendall was a physician at Los Alamos during the Manhattan Project. She was married to engineering physicist Trevor Cuykendall, who also worked on the project at Los Alamos.
Nannilee Saunders set up the elementary at Los Alamos, NM, during the Manhattan Project. She began to work at Los Alamos in August 1943, working for 11 months while on a leave of absence from a college in Chicago.
George R. Carlson was a research associate at the University of Chicago’s Metallurgical Laboratory (“Met Lab”) during the Manhattan Project.
