James Franck (1882-1964) was a German physicist and winner of the 1925 Nobel Prize for Physics. During the Manhattan Project, Franck served as Director of the Chemistry Division of the University of Chicago’s Metallurgical Laboratory.
Dr. Leslie T. McClinton was a research assistant at the University of Chicago Met Lab. After three months of working at the Met Lab, McClinton was transferred to Oak Ridge in 1943.
Emily Ninger was a staff worker at Los Alamos during the Manhattan Project.
