Luzell Johnson left a factory job in Alabama for a much higher-paying one as a cement finisher at Hanford. His wife later joined him, and they bought a house in Hanford; like many Hanford workers, Johnson settled in the area after the war.

Claude E. McLenon served as a technical sergeant in the 393rd Bombardment Squadron. He was a member of the ground crew regularly assigned to the B-29 Big Stink, and he and his crew were later reassigned to Luke the Spook.
