Irene Balawender was a stenographer in the Instrument Section at the Metallurgical Laboratory in Chicago during the Manhattan Project.
William G. (“Bill”) Hudgins spent most of childhood years in New Mexico. He first heard about a secret wartime laboratory at Los Alamos in 1943, when he was a student at the University of New Mexico.
B. R. Longwell served in the 390th Air Service Group.
August F. Futschik served in the 393rd Bombardment Squadron.
