Marguerite Schreiber was born in Walla Walla, WA. She was raised in McMinnville, OR, and graduated from Linfield College with a degree in French. She came to Los Alamos with her husband, physicist Raemer Schreiber, in 1943. The Schreibers remained in New Mexico after the war. In 2007, she was recognized as a Living Treasure of Los Alamos.
