Marian S. Baumann was a laboratory technician at the Metallurgical Laboratory in Chicago during the Manhattan Project. Before the war, she worked at the Michael Reese Hospital in Chicago.

Baumann died in northern Ohio on July 26, 2005 at the age of 88.
