Peggy Dickson moved to Oak Ridge in the fall of 1944, when she was 14 years old. Her father, Charles Russell Dickson, Sr.
Allred worked as a chemical operator at the Y-12 plant at Oak Ridge during the Manhattan Project. While at Oak Ridge, she was nominated as a contestant in the “Miss Atomic Bomb” beauty pageant.
Katharine Baker worked for the Tennessee Eastman Corporation at the Y-12 Plant.
