National Museum of Nuclear Science & History

Dr. Michele Gerber, Ph.D, is the official Hanford Site Historian. Gerber aided early efforts to declassify the Hanford site documents and served on the National Academy of the Sciences Committee on Declassification of Department of Energy Documents. She has written several books and numerous documents about Hanford, including “On the Home Front: The Cold War Legacy of the Hanford Nuclear Site,” published in 1992. Gerber also led the first tour of Russian visitors to the Hanford site.
