Harry Palevsky (1919-1990) was an American engineer. A Chicago native, Palevsky began his work on the Manhattan Project at the University of Chicago Metallurgical Laboratory shortly after finishing his undergraduate career at Northwestern University.
When Colleen Black’s brother was drafted into the Army in 1942, she and her family decided to move to Oak Ridge to contribute to the war effort and bring her brother home.
Phillip Fineman was a research associate in the Chemistry Division of the University of Chicago’s Metallurgical Laboratory during the Manhattan Project.
