Bill Ginkel was born in Rochester, New York on August 14th, 1920. After graduating from Madison High School, Ginkel spent five years studying Chemical Engineering and Business at the University of Rochester, where he graduated in 1943.
Louise Keaton worked as a Calutron girl at the Y-12 Plant at Oak Ridge, TN. Keaton was hired to work at Y-12 in 1944, when she was 18.
Oklahoma-born Leon Overstreet went into construction in 1941 after he learned a little pipefitting with American Can in Kansas City.
