Nora Dene Lawson worked as a calutron operator at the Y-12 Separations Plant in Oak Ridge, TN during the Manhattan Project.
Lawson was born in Huntsville, TN in 1925 and attended Hunstville High School. She was recruited to work for the Manhattan Project in 1943 and was trained as a calutron operator. She married Walter H. Williams in 1947.
