Orville D. Priest was born June 10th, 1918. He served in the US Army in the 1940’s during a very difficult and important time in our country’s history. He was dedicated during his time in the United States Army. At Los Alamos, New Mexico, all who served were sworn to secrecy about the projects they worked on, and Orville kept that secrecy throughout his life. Orville had a daughter, and he led a quiet life in Northern Michigan. He passed away on August 8th, 1991. He and those who served beside him were, and remain, a vital force in the ending of the war out of commitment and love for  “The United States of America.”
