Wray B. Garn was born on January 4, 1916 in Yakima, Washington. He graduated from the University of Pennsylvania, and briefly worked as an electrical engineer for the Westinghouse Corporation.
Holman worked at the 300 Area at Hanford during the Manhattan Project.
Ken Pumphrey joined the Manhattan Project at Los Alamos in 1946, where he worked as a security guard until 1948.
