Enrico Fermi (1901-1954) was an Italian physicist and recipient of the 1938 Nobel Prize in Physics. In 1942, Fermi relocated to the Chicago Met Lab, where he built an experimental reactor pile under Stagg Field at the University of Chicago.
Raymond L. Miller served in the 390th Air Service Group. After the War, he was one of the men assigned to the Japan Atomic Bomb Damage Survey teams.
Alan A. Jarrett was a research assistant the University of Chicago’s Metallurgical Laboratory (“Met Lab”) during the Manhattan Project.
