Niels Bohr (1885-1962) was a Danish physicist and winner of the 1922 Nobel Prize in Physics. Bohr began his work on the Manhattan Project after fleeing to Sweden from Denmark because of German occupation in 1943.
Gillen T. Nicely served as a sergeant in the 393rd Bombardment Squadron. He was the tail gunner on the Straight Flush during the Hiroshima mission.
Sawdon S. Smith served in the 603rd Air Engineering Squadron.
Baldridge worked in the 100 B Area at Hanford during the Manhattan Project.
