John Kenyon Kinnear, Sr. was raised in Brooklyn, NY. He joined the Army and because he was a tool and die maker, he was assigned to the Manhattan Project.
Carl W. Rein served as a staff sergeant in the 393rd Bombardment Squadron. He was a member of the ground crew regularly assigned first to Luke the Spook and later to Big Stink.
