Velva Irwin worked as a Calutron girl at the Y-12 Plant at Oak Ridge, TN. She was only 16 when she began working on the Manhattan Project.

Otto Nillige was a carpenter at the University of Chicago’s Metallurgical Laboratory (“Met Lab”) during the Manhattan Project.
Thomas Burkett worked for the Tennessee Eastman Corporation at the Y-12 Plant.
