Lawrence H. Johnston was an American physicist. After receiving his bachelor’s degree in physics from the University of California, Berkeley in 1940, Johnston followed his mentor Luis Alvarez to MIT.
Milton Burton was the Chief of Radiation Chemistry in the Metallurgical Laboratory (“Met Lab”) at the University of Chicago and later at Oak Ridge during the Manhattan Project.
Edgar F. Shofield served in the 393rd Bombardment Squadron.
