Ruth A. Casler was a lab technician in the Chemistry Division of the University of Chicago’s Metallurgical Laboratory (“Met Lab”) during the Manhattan Project.
Nelson Barney Fox was born on February 22, 1916, in Ravenel, South Carolina near Charleston. He was a Chief Fire Controlman on the USS Louisville (CA-28).
Karl Walther was a glassblower for Columbia University and Brookhaven National Laboratory. During the Manhattan Project, Walther worked as a senior glassblower at the Nash Garage Building at Columbia, where scientists developed the gaseous diffusion process.
