William L. Murphy was a Technical Sargeant in the US Army who worked as part of Project Alberta, the team that transported and assembled the two atomic bombs in July and August 1945.
Herbert York (1921-2009) was a part-Mohawk American physicist. After graduating with a master’s in physics from the University of Rochester in 1942, York went directly to work at the Berkeley Radiation Laboratory connected with the Manhattan Project.
Don Mester worked for the Tennessee Eastman Corporation at the Y-12 Plant.
Hinginio A. Baca served as a private first class in the 393rd Bombardment Squadron. He was a member of the ground crew regularly assigned to the B-29 Big Stink, and he and his crew were later reassigned to Luke the Spook.
