William J. Nicholson was born on March 2, 1924 in Chicago, Illinois. Growing up, he was interested in engineering, aviation, and aeronautics.
During WWII, Robert Goodell was a member of the Special Engineer Detachment (SED) and worked as the Technical Supervisor at the Y-12 Plant at Oak Ridge, TN.
P. G. Elliott worked at the 200 West Area at Hanford during the Manhattan Project.
