Robert E. Brocklehurst got his Master’s degree in Physics at Purdue University after Pearl Harbor. He later ended up at Wright Patterson AFB in Dayton, OH working in the Materials Laboratory. Although he was not assigned to any Manhattan Project team, Brocklehurst traveled to all the sites as a visiting consultant. He eventually became the Director of the Materials Lab at Wright Patterson AFB. Brocklehurst passed away in 2019 at the age of 101.
