Robert A. Lewis served as a captain in the 393rd Bombardment Squadron of the 509th Composite Group. He trained in Wendover, Utah before leaving for Tinian Island.
George C. Hollowwa was a member of the Army Air Corps and a weapons expert. During and after World War II, he was involved in the assembly and testing of atomic weapons.
W. W. Snyder Jr. served in the 509th Headquarters.
