Roland Modlin was the Right Scanner for the plane Dave’s Dream in the 58th Bomb Wing of the 509th Composite Group. Medlin participated in the atomic tests during Operation Crossroads at Bikini Atoll.

James R. Corliss served as a technical sergeant in the 393rd Bombardment Squadron. He was regularly assigned to work as a flight engineer on the Up An’ Atom but did not fly in that plane during the August 1945 bombing missions on Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
