Samuel Goudsmit (1902-1978) was a Dutch-American physicist. In May 1944, Goudsmit became scientific director of the Manhattan Project’s Alsos Mission, a top-secret operation responsible for gathering intelligence on Germany’s atomic program.

Victor C. Hamister was a consultant to the University of Chicago’s Metallurgical Laboratory (“Met Lab”) during the Manhattan Project.
John P. Flannery worked for H.K. Ferguson Co. and Morrison Knudson. Co. on construction at Oak Ridge, TN during the Manhattan Project.
