Matthew W. Huddleston served as a sergeant in the 393rd Bombardment Squadron. He was a member of the ground crew regularly assigned to the B-29 Up An’ Atom.
Irene LaViolette was born in Manhattan in 1920. After she finished kindergarten, her family moved to Greece, where her grandparents lived, due to diminishing economic prospects in the United States.
Jane Sievers worked on the Manhattan Project at Hanford. She met her husband, chemist Truman P. Kohman, while living in Richland.
