Sidney Robinson (d. 1972) worked on the Manhattan Project in Chicago. He was from New York City, and attended City College. He was married to Roslyn Robinson, who also worked on the project. After they were married in 1942, they moved out to Chicago. Robinson had been trained as an engineer and worked for the Navy prior to joining the Manhattan Project. At Chicago, he worked at the New Chemistry Building in the group under Nathan Sugarman. Sugarman’s group focused on chemical aspects of nuclear fission. The couple left the project in 1944 and returned to New York.
After the war, Robinson worked for Nucleonic Corporation of America, RCA, and Raymond Rosen. He passed away in 1972 of colon cancer.
