National Museum of Nuclear Science & History

Simon Broder worked on the Manhattan Project at Oak Ridge, TN, supervising installation of equipment and studying patent problems. He also was involved with the project at Berkeley, CA, and Los Alamos, NM.

Broder received his degree in mechanical engineering from Cornell University, an MA in law from George Washington University, and a MA in patent law and PhD in law from American University. He was a respected patent examiner and served in the Army for 20 years, retiring as a lieutenant colonel.
