Thoms Davis was an electrician assigned to work at Los Alamos. Prior to working for the Army Corps of Engineers at Los Alamos from January 1945 to June 1946, Davis worked at the Houston Shipyards.
Marilyn (Evans) Howe was a research assistant in the Technical Division of the University of Chicago’s Metallurgical Laboratory (“Met Lab”) during the Manhattan Project.
In 1942, James E. Fix, was a 16-year-old freshman at Texas A&M University. Fix was drafted into the Army, and, after basic training, twenty men in his unit were chosen for the Army Specialized Training Program (ASTP).
