John O. Bowcock is a native of Clarksburg, West Virginia. He graduated from West Virginia University in 1937 with a Bachelor of Arts degree and majored in Economics and Business Administration.
Clare Whitehead joined the Women’s Army Auxiliary Corps (WAAC) in 1943. After training in the Manhattan Engineer District and working in Oak Ridge, she transferred to Hanford, where she was a secretary for military intelligence.
Robert Martens was a research associate at the University of Chicago’s Metallurgical Laboratory (“Met Lab”) during the Manhattan Project.
