Susan Woodson Bowen (1925-2017) was an American chemist.

Bowen was born in Rich Creek, Virginia. She earned a B.S. from Roanoke College and a Ph.D. from UNC-Chapel Hill. During World War II, Bowen worked on the Manhattan Project at Oak Ridge, Tennessee. After the war, she was a chemist for the Radford Army Ammunition Plant, a position she would hold for 33 years.

Susan Bowen died on July 26, 2017, in Blacksburg, Virginia.
