Melvin H. Bierman served as a sergeant in the 393rd Bombardment Squadron. Bierman was regularly assigned as a tail gunner in the Up An’ Atom, but did not fly in that plane in the August 1945 bombing missions on Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
Malcolm P. Moss worked at Hanford during the Manhattan Project. He drove an ambulance dedicated to the project site and staged the ambulance outside of the facility.
Gerald J. Corcoran served as a corporal in the 393rd Bombardment Squadron. He was a member of the ground crew regularly assigned first to Luke the Spook and later to Big Stink.
