Winston was born in April, 1921 in Washburn, WI (where his father was the mayor) and graduated from Washburn High School, Washburn, WI in 1939.
Miles worked in the 100 D Area at Hanford during the Manhattan Project.
Joyce M. Hopkins was a research assistant in the Health Division of the University of Chicago’s Metallurgical Laboratory (“Met Lab”) during the Manhattan Project.
James J. Reilly served as a corporal in the 393rd Bombardment Squadron. He was a member of the ground crew regularly assigned to the B-29 The Great Artiste.
