Horace Mahorney was a chemical engineer at the Y-12 plant in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. From September 1943 to November 1945, Mahorney was an operator of the mass spectrometer with Dr.
Vincent “Bud” Whitehead met his wife, Clare, in 1944 at Hanford. Both were from Portland, Oregon and involved in military intelligence.
E. H. Douglas worked at the 300 Area at Hanford during the Manhattan Project.
