Thomas Anderson was an American army officer with the Manhattan Engineer District.

Tom Anderson arrived to Los Alamos in 1945 and was assigned to work with Dr. Robert Brode. He worked on constructing the fusing and firing mechanisms for the atomic bombs. At a Wendover, Utah site, Anderson worked on the assembly of dummy bombs and flew on test drops to arm the devices. He received orders to deploy to Tinian island, but never went because the war ended before he was scheduled to depart.
