Wayne Alexander Bowers was born on March 1, 1919 in Bilbao, Spain. His father traveled as a minister, so Bowers grew up in small towns throughout Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Virginia.
Howard Lange was the Curator in the Chemistry Division at the University of Chicago’s Metallurgical Laboratory (“Met Lab”) during the Manhattan Project.
Louise King was an analyst at the Y-12 Plant in Oak Ridge, Tennessee from June 1944 to February 1947.
