Kattie Strickland was part of the janitorial staff at Oak Ridge during the Manhattan Project. Unlike the white women whom she worked along side, Ms.
Watson C. Warriner, Sr. graduated from Virginia Tech in 1938 with a degree in chemical engineering. He was then hired by the DuPont company to work in their Engineering Department.
Mortimer Schwartz served in the Special Engineer Detatchment (SED) at Los Alamos during the Manhattan Project.
