W. B. Steur worked for the Tennessee Eastman Corporation at the Y-12 Plant.
Calvin B. Popwell served as a corporal in the 393rd Bombardment Squadron. He was a member of the ground crew regularly assigned to the B-29 Big Stink, and he and his crew were later reassigned to Luke the Spook.
Robert A. Berardo served in the 509th Headquarters and Base Services Squadron.
Hoover worked at the 300 Area at Hanford during the Manhattan Project.
Charles W. Sweeney served as a major in the 393rd Bombardment Squadron. He was regularly assigned to the Great Artiste as the aircraft commander and participated in the mission to bomb Hiroshima as co-pilot of the Great Artiste.
