Samuel R. Goldwasser worked as a Research Assistant at the Met Lab from October of 1943 to March of 1944.
Melvin H. Bierman served as a sergeant in the 393rd Bombardment Squadron. Bierman was regularly assigned as a tail gunner in the Up An’ Atom, but did not fly in that plane in the August 1945 bombing missions on Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
Anne McKusick was born in Rochester, New York, and in April of 1944 went to work for the Tennessee-Eastman Company in Oak Ridge, at the Y-12 Plant.
